Jackson Hole Fishing
Fly-fishing in Jackson Hole’s Snake River is beyond compare. Not only will you have the opportunity to hook some fish on your line, but also you’ll do so while being surrounded by breathtaking scenery! You can either venture out on your own, or hire a company to take you on a half- or full-day guided fishing trip.
Jackson Hole fishing in these parts is wonderful. Snake River specializes in cutthroat trout, in addition to several other species of fish. As you patiently wait for a bite, you’ll get long looks at the majestic scenery surrounding you, with the nearby walls of Snake River Canyon, the many peaks of the Teton Range, and the doubletop peak of Gros Ventre Range.
There are other places for Jackson Hole fishing, as well. The Green River Lakes just beyond the Gros Ventre Wilderness offers its own collection of brook, cutthroat, and rainbow trout. And on the upper Snake River, you’ll find the Palisades Reservoir next to the Palisades Dam. This 16,000-acre body of water is an excellent, year-round fishing spot, flush with brown, cutthroat, and lake trout, as well as kokanee salmon.
